About 300 hotel experts discuss global trends in Vienna with a focus on CEE.


Vienna, October 11, 2019. On November 7, 2019, leading experts from the hotel and tourism industry will meet at the INTERNATIONAL HOTEL INVESTMENT & DESIGN CONFERENCE in Vienna to discuss current global industry trends and their impact on hotel investment. This year, the top-class conference will meet in style at the Hotel Andaz Vienna am Belvedere. Four weeks before the conference, the event is nearly sold out.
"Global Trends - CEE the difference" is the slogan of this year's conference. CEE is a particularly promising growth region for investors and tourism developers.
In addition to location, hotel design, architecture and branding play increasingly important role for the value of hotel properties and the return on investment. Sustainability is becoming another major topic in the industry. "There is enormous interest in our 'Sustainability Matters' panel discussion," event organizers Tanja Millner and Brigitte Gruber emphasize.
On this year’s panels more than 40 international industry experts from the fields of design, architecture, development, operations and consulting will talk about trends and innovations in the hotel industry. They represent leading industry players including Hyatt, Accor, GBI, UBM Development, Signa Real Estate, Fauchon Hospitality, Hilton, Christie & Co, Value One & Arbireo Hospitality, Erste Group, Radisson, and Louvre Hotels.
This year's keynote speaker Steven Kuhn, a decorated U.S. Army veteran, successful author and consultant, talks about "Hospitality in the 21st Century: Navigating Social Change in Our Most Crowded Marketplace".
 
Research and Networking
The event offers ample opportunities for first-class networking for established professionals and the next generation of high potentials. Students of the Vienna Modul University will present the results of their research work on the topic: "Which is the most attractive luxury hotel brand for millenials?”
The best luxury brands will be awarded.
 
Event organisation
The INTERNATIONAL HOTEL INVESTMENT & DESIGN CONFERENCE will be organized for the first time by M + G Eventorganisation GmbH. The two managing directors Tanja Millner and Brigitte Gruber have been members of the organizing committee for many years. This new structure guarantees an independent event platform.
The programme of this year's conference was developed together with a top-class Advisory Board headed by Ben Martin from HKS Advisory Services.
